Athlete Spotlight
Bella is one of our oldest members, a SASC OG and everyone loves having her in class. I felt she was an easy pick as our first spotlight!
1. What made you want to start working out at just 8 years old?
My brother started to workout with Aubrey, and I would watch the class with my dad. My dad convinced me to try it and I ended up liking the class.
2. What was your first impression of SASC?
The workouts looked challenging, but most of the exercises looked interesting to try.
3. Tell us about yourself:
I am 13 years old. I started working out in 2015. I’ve always leaned torwards academics, and less towards athletics. Although, SASC is enjoyable to me.
4. What motivates you now to workout? Do you have a goal you’re focused on right now?
I would like to compete in powerlifting in high school, and I also want to stay healthy.
5. What’s your favorite part about SASC?
SASC has always been welcoming to people. After a while you get comfortable with the other members and Aubrey. I’ve gotten so comfortable now, I eat her candy and her grapes.
6. What’s your favorite movement that we do in workouts?
My favorite movement is probably the hip thrust.
7.What advice would you like to give other members at SASC?
Some days you are not going to want to get in the gym, but you’ll feel better once you complete the workout.
As always, such mature words of advice from one of our youngest members at San Angelo Strength and Conditioning!
